Central Oregon Coast
The rocky Central Oregon Coast is spectacular. A temperate rain forest, it is lined with steep, rocky cliffs and millions of old-growth evergreen trees whose branches point inland due to the constant battering of cool, salty wind. The water is cold and agitated. It hammers the shore line with unspeakable force and constantly swirls and churns, resulting in a layer of thick sea foam. Its greenish-blue hue is so dark it prevents a person from seeing below the surface.
